One of the challenges of living within the inner city is finding natural bush with native birds and wildlife without having to travel to the outer suburbs. Darebin Parklands is a wonderful conservation park located in Alphington, around 5km from the Melbourne CBD. It runs along the Darebin Creek and has a plethora of native birds. Early morning, just after sunrise, is great time to take photos here because the birds are very active and the dawn light is gorgeous.
