Melbourne is known for its festivals and huge variety of events to for all ages to enjoy. One of the most recent colourful events was the Firelight Festival at Docklands. Lots of people, and plenty of music and entertainment for families. I managed to get a couple of shots of the fireworks. With the large crowds I was confined to one area and missed the main display, so I used the boats and water in the foreground to give the small section of fireworks I could see a little more character. There's never a shortage of things to do on any given weekend in Melbourne, no matter what the weather.
